About
Why am I fundraising?Somewhere in the Black Country right now there is a family who needs a safe haven from domestic violence and abuse or modern slavery.
I am taking part in a Cut out Abuse sponsored walk to support this family, and many others like them, to live without fear and violence.
Black Country Women's Aid currently has to turn away over two thirds of people who go to them for somewhere safe to live because of a shortage of accommodation. With your support, together we can raise vital funds to build new refuge flats.
How can your donation make a difference?
- £10 could pay for a welcome pack of food for families who flee with only the clothes on their backs
- £20 could pay for a duvet set for a child's bed
- £100 could pay for a flat's thermal and blackout curtains to help the families who live there feel safe and warm
Black Country Women's Aid has been helping people to escape from violence, cope with trauma and rebuild their lives for almost 40 years. With your support and donations, we can build new refuge spaces to help more victims to become survivors.
