Why are we fundraising?

Somewhere in the Black Country right now, there is a family who needs a safe haven from domestic violence, abuse, or modern slavery.

We are proud to announce that Black Country Women’s Aid (BCWA) is our chosen charity for 2025. Throughout this year, we will be taking part in events and initiatives to raise money, with all donations going to support BCWA’s vital work.

As part of this commitment, we are joining the Cut out Abuse sponsored walk to help families live without fear and violence.

BCWA currently has to turn away over two-thirds of people who ask for a safe place to live, simply because there isn’t enough accommodation. With your support, we can change that by raising funds to build new refuge flats for those in urgent need.

How can your donation make a difference?

£10 could pay for a welcome pack of food for families who flee with only the clothes on their backs

£20 could pay for a duvet set for a child’s bed

£100 could pay for a flat’s thermal and blackout curtains to help families feel safe and warm

For almost 40 years, BCWA has been helping people escape violence, cope with trauma, and rebuild their lives. With your generosity, together we can create more refuge spaces and help more victims become survivors.
